At its core, psychoanalysis is a pathway to understanding how our past experiences and the unconscious shape who we are today. Founded by Sigmund Freud over a century ago, the practice has evolved into a sophisticated method for exploring the hidden depths of the human personality and unlocking lasting emotional freedom.

The Wisconsin Psychoanalytic Center (WPC) is a non-profit organization affiliated with the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsA) and the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA). Upholding the highest ethical standards, we are committed to advancing psychoanalytic understanding and application to alleviate mental health suffering and to enrich the lives of individuals, families and community systems.
